Mission of Service: Project Connect is dedicated to ending homelessness by focusing on providing tangible services, and is committed to eliminating the systemic barriers that prevent people from obtaining and maintaining permanent housing.
Goals of the program include increasing self-sufficiency of clients by helping them to become financially stable through obtaining employment or helping them to obtain government or other benefits to assist with living expenses, to assist in finding housing, to improve the quality of life for clients, and to advocate for individuals within the community to assist individuals in moving from homelessness to permanent housing.
Description of Program: Project Connect provides the
following supportive services for homeless individuals:
- Case management
- Counseling
- Information and referrals
- Women’s empowerment support groups
- Substance abuse support groups
- Employment assistance referrals
- Assistance with obtaining state ID’s and birth certificates
- Mailing address
- Emergency financial assistance for rent and utilities to prevent homelessness
- Limited transportation assistance
- Shelter Referrals
Population Served: Homeless adults and families in Metropolitan Atlanta areas.
Orientation for new clients: Friday’s from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Space is limited. Orientations are held by appointment only.
