|
Counseling - Today’s children and teens face many challenges – at
home, at school and with friends. Poor school performances, temper
tantrums, social difficulties, sadness, worrying, eating disorders, lack of
confidence—these are all behaviors that children show us when they are
in need of some extra help. |
|
Art Therapy - Art therapy uses the combination of psychology
and art as a vehicle for self expression, healing, and growth. It is
especially designed to assist individuals of all ages who have suffered
trauma and loss by providing a way to access feelings or thoughts that
may be hard to express through words. |
|
Psychoeducational Evaluations - Psychoeducational assessments
help us gain an understanding of a child's cognitive, academic, social-emotional,
and behavioral functioning. The psychologists at JF&CS conduct a comprehensive
evaluation that integrates information from parents, teachers and testing data. |
|
L’Chaim! - L’Chaim! at JF&CS is designed as an outreach program
to provide the Jewish community with AIDS awareness, prevention education,
volunteer opportunities and support services. |
|
PAL (People Are Loving) - A PAL volunteer is a loving Jewish adult
who shares a one-on-one relationship with a child. The PAL volunteer is a
companion/role model; sharing time, love and understanding. |
|
School Outreach -This program recognizes the value and importance
of early intervention in the life of a child and their family. The program
provides the same highly qualified professional staff on site at local day
schools and Jewish community pre-schools in addition to the agency. |
|
College Counseling The College Counseling program operates to assist
college-bound high school students and their parents in making informed
decisions about the college selection process. The program offers convenient
and competitively priced options to accomplish this goal. |
