JF&CS Press Releases
Official Press Releases from Jewish Family & Career Services of Atlanta. Check back here for late breaking official news.
Effective December 1, 2015, Jewish Home Life Communities (JHLC) and Jewish Family & Career Services (JF&CS) announced the transition of several services that eliminate a competitive approach to serving older adults while generating the greatest social return on the community’s investment in the services provided by both organizations.
The agreement reached will formally transition JF&CS’ Legacy Home Care Services to JHLC’s The One Group, while shifting JHLC’s Care Coordination Services to JF&CS.
Soon after David Hochberg began volunteering at JF&CS’ Ben Massell Dental Clinic in May 2013, he noticed there were not too many patients receiving dentures. It didn’t make much sense, given that so many patients at BMDC had lost teeth. When he asked about it, he was told the waiting time for dentures was two years, which could explain the scarcity of such patients.

When I turned 50 this past January, I wanted to do something that would involve volunteering or charitable giving. I actually began thinking about it a couple of years earlier, inspired by others in the community who had done that kind of thing. I wasn’t sure exactly what to do, but I knew I wanted it to connect to JF&CS. And I knew I wanted my friends to do it with me.
