Volunteer Spotlight: Howard Wexler

Volunteer Spotlight: Howard Wexler

He has been volunteering for only a few months, but Howard Wexler already has been making an impact on people who really need help – new refugees moving to the United States. Since March, Howard has been helping an Iraqi family make a new life here, through the Refugee Resettlement program of JF&CS’ International Services - Tools for New Americans division. The program consists of volunteers and professionals helping refugees transition to a new culture while maintaining their own.

Volunteer Spotlight: Carol Harris Glickman

Sometimes we do not realize how much we may take for granted in our day-to-day lives.  Carol Harris Glickman, a volunteer with our Refugee Resettlement program, has been able to see and experience that first hand with the refugee family she and her daughters assist. The Refugee Resettlement program, part of our International Services - Tools for New Americans division, helps families new to the United States transition to a new life so far from home as smoothly as possible.
