Sober Shabbat in Honor of Recovery Month 2018

Date: Saturday, September 29, 2018 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
SAMHSA has named September Recovery Month; this is an opportunity to celebrate the journey towards recovery, honoring those who are fighting drug and alcohol addiction and mental illness, those who have found recovery, and all those who are affected.

HAMSA is celebrating Recovery Month with a special Sober Shabbat at Congregation Etz Chaim. This conservative Sabbath service will include a special message from the rabbi and a HAMSA speaker, shining a light on the ways that we can rally around those who are struggling and celebrate the beauty and triumph of recovery.

All are invited to attend! The sermon will be delivered by Rabbi Daniel Dorsch and HAMSA's I&R Specialist, Leslie Lubell, and will include an open discussion following the Torah Service.
